i was searching around for exploration places when i came up with this. Chernobyl disaster was the worst nuclear power plant accident in history and the only instance so far of level 7 on the International Nuclear Event Scale. the cool thing is you can take tours of the city’s that were abandoned because of it or go by yourself although very dangerous because some places have very high radiation levels. its in Russia though.

Wierdale, you said Chernobyl, not Pripyat. You go to Chernobyl without the proper gear and you will be dead in minutes.

First, you’d be going to Prypiat. The won’t let you near the actual plant. Second, its safe as long as your not an idiot. I don’t know if it’s safe for you or not, all things considered. Also, I’m the one that started the previously alluded to thread.

The Chernobyl complex is pretty much safe now.
In the 20+ years since the accident the ambient radiation levels have dropped back down to safe (though still abnormally high) levels. So long as you keep within 150m of the reactor you are ok to wear regular clothing. Just look at some of the photos seen here.
^^Both are still very much alive and are cancer free.
If you want to UE some place, Pripyat is overrated.
Go to either the unfinished and abandoned reactor 5/6 block or the radar station.
Neither of these places have ever been photographed.
