Newfags (newfags to /b/) are like cockroaches.
/b/ is like a house.
And Project Chanology is all the food that was left in the open fridge while everyone in the house was too lazy to close the fucking fridge.
Chanology is fail, it is made of AIDS and fail, and it is the cancer that is killing /b/. Im sure everyone is gonna tell you to keep /b/ out of RE, but im telling you to keep Chanology out of /b/.
Those Chanology fucks need to keep the internet in the internet, not throw it in real life while standing on the sidewalk with a retarded ass mask going "HAY U! SCIENTOLOGY KILLS DESU DESU DESU DESU DO A BARREL ROLL LOL WERE JUST DOIN IT FOR THE LULZ LONGCAT IS LOOOOOOOOONG LOLOLOLOL".

The whole Chanology thing was fucking annoying, but it’s pretty remarkable that legislative action is being taken against Scientology.

mmm.
Especially how this raid attracts kids like the one in the video to /b/ who invariably think /b/ is their personal army.
My grandfather was almost lured into becoming a scientologist, actually. He qualified for it too, since he was rich at the time (hes dead now.).

I agree with the movement, I think it’s neat that the combined power of anonymous people can bring attenetion to the need for change.

Change for what? Scientology wasnt doing anything wrong at all.
As a matter of fact, this "raid" came out of nowhere; usually anon raids and/or attacks people that did shit to THEM. Theyre just raiding cause theyre butthurt over YouTube taking down the video of Tom Cruise going batshit insane.

I think it’s a good idea too, but it shouldn’t be associated with any on the *chans or their culture.

They’re done lots of wrong as a whole, especially with their ’Fair Game’ policies.
The worst part was the tax exempt status. Religions aren’t supposed to be donation required.

Besides disguising their snake-oil business as a religion to avoid the IRS, and brainwashing people into spending their money, not to mention being complete douchebags.

No, there’s much more to it than that.
It was because the fact that the video was removed goes against the idea of net neutrality.

Christianity and Catholicism (though theyre pretty much the same thing) are guilty of those things.
’fair game’ policy- The Crusades, The Spanish Inquisition, Hate Crimes (ones done against "non god-fearing non-whites").
Tax exemption- Collection plates. ’Nuff said.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand what part of this doesnt sound like christianity and catholicism to you?

And the FBI posting trap links to fake CP so people can get v& that are out there for third parties to use at their will ALSO goes against net neutrality, but anon never once mentioned the net neutrality part. It was all "OMG SCIENTOLOGY KILLZ WE HAV PROOF FROM SOME CONSPIRACY THEORIST SITE LOLOLOL".
Hell, their facts arent even straight. They did that one raid on the Ides of March cause they thought that was L. Ron’s birthday, when it turns out that his birthday was actually 2 days before.

True religions have optional donations, you had to pay for services if you were scientologist.
Also, the crusades were a different thing, I’m not saying they were good, but they were against entire groups of people, and not focused on ruining one persons life.

And in mormonism, dont you kinda HAVETA give the mormon church 10% of all the money you have at all times?
All religions have a sneaky way of making money, its just that Scientology’s way is a little less discreet.

True. But ’fair game’ policy doesnt focus on ruining a persons life (from what I read), it focuses on KILLING said person.

With Scientology, payment is mandatory.
Other religions are free.
Also, Scientology has no historical background, and was started a little over 50 years ago.
Not that I think other religions are any better...

How so?

Yes they did, that was what started it, you should know that.
But it was soon overshadowed by newfags saying

Quote: Members are expected to donate their time, money, and talents to the church, and those who have participated in the Endowment ceremony make an oath to donate all that they have, if required of them, to the Lord. To be in good standing and to enter the church’s temples, church members are asked to tithe their income to the church, which is usually interpreted as 10% of income. In addition, members are asked to donate monthly charitable "fast offerings" (at least the equivalent cost of two meals), which are used to help the needy, regardless of whether or not they are church members, and are encouraged to make other humanitarian donations when necessary.
Tithing is voluntary. My entire dad’s side of the family is Mormon, and I’ve never heard of them forcing donations.

Ill submit the donation thing, but I still dont see why anon needs to ’take down scientology’ just cause theyre illegally making money. Anon isnt supposed to be a group of ’moral crusaders’; if they were, theyd be taking down the Mafia for illegally making money.

I quite remember the thread that started this whole clusterfuck of raidfags and newfags, and I only read maybe one mention of net neutrality in it.
Quote: Tithing is voluntary. My entire dad’s side of the family is Mormon, and I’ve never heard of them forcing donations.
Ah. Cause my friend Hiroko is a mormon and she said they MAKE you give that 10%.
Look. All you need to remember is that mootykins clearly stated raids were for faggots (he should be one to talk) and that the organization of them is pretty much prohibited on /b/ (the janitors did a good job of enforcing that, huh?). Moot’s word is gold.

I have had a lot of fun keeping up with the scientology protests and everything, but I agree that it should be kept out of /b/. They should have stopped using the Anonymous name right after the first talks of an IRL protest. Pretty soon though there will be much more entertainment watching the fighting between Anon and the Moralfags.
