So my birthday is in a week, and I’m not really sure If a PS3 is worth it to ask for..
I will be getting a bit more than a usual B-day merely for being my 18th, and should getting a PS3 mainly only over GTA 4 be worth it? I have a PC in which would easily run GTA 4 when it comes out on the PC in a year probably, yet I haven’t even played GTA 4 and everyone is saying, "OMFG GREATEST GAME EVER BUY A CONSOLE", so yea.. Im not sure what to do in this case. I can just use the money towards a new car sooner for college, but apparently If I get this ps3 and gta4, i will cream my pants every second I play this game.
So overall, what would you do? Be more mature and get a college needed better car, or wait on that and get apparently the most amazing game ever.
Note- only asking for a ps3 due to blu-ray winning the HD battle and my dads a cunt wanting to fulfill the needs of his tv. Oh yea, and Im pretty fucking excited to go to a known dallas stripclub and laugh at sexy whores.

Consoles are gimped when compared to PC’s.
Just ask for cash that equals out to the price of the PS3 (youre rich so its not a problem), then spend that on something else. Besides, what will be funner and possibly get more bitches and give you more adventure? A PS3 or a car?

My parents are dicks when it becomes an Item to Cash in Hand exchange, asking for cash in place of the ps3 will result more than likely with like $250-300 in hand. I dont get it, but I cant fight it. Yea driving in a fairly new car down to the stripclub would be pretty exciting, not to mention high quality bud purchases would lead the experience to amazing.

You shouldnt actually have to choose between a brand new car that will give you endless entertainment, and a PS3 with $60 chore (GTA 4). The answer is obvious.

I have a ps3 hooked up to a 32 inch samsung hd tv. Blu-ray is amazing, best movie quality I have ever seen. It alone is worth it

Im not sure if you should get a ps3, I was considering buying one (Still am) But yesterday i played gta4, im not sure if its because i dont know the story line or what, but i didnt find it so draw-dropping, if anything i found it annoying... The character WALKS on default, and you have to hold down X for him to run, and tap x for fast run which i found pretty annoying.. There were also other annoyances
But in general the game is pretty much like all the other ones with extra features.. I wouldnt know anything about the graphics ect because i played it on a non-hdtv so i assume the graphics would be alot better on a hdtv

Not exactly. HDTVS are experiencing contrast problems as well as jaggies and bloom that is over the top. Buy the game, most fun you will have on a console. I have played for 15 hours in 6 days. Only other game I have done that is MLB

You might wanna consider buying one of ebay, ive seen 360gb hard drived ones, that come with linux installed and can play all-region games, and PS1 and PS2 games, for the price of $1000
