Do any of you have classes that teach you about money? For example, how interest rate equations work, what balance sheet and income statements are, how stock options work, etc?

yeah, Consumer Mathematics teaches it in canada
thats the bottom of three maths (in order: calculus, Applied math, and Consumer)
consumer is fucking retardedly boring and easy, but teaches a lot of the daily things you’re going to need math for in your life (as an underpaid burger jockey that is!)

It’s required for seniors at my school.

I had a Careers and Choices elective last year. And I’m pretty certain there’s a money finance elective.

We have an entire series of various "Marketing" classes that teach that stuff.

I had some classes that taught about it.
Asset is good shit. liability is bad shit. My fingers don’t want to go into further explanation. Kind of dusty.

I was just wondering if the schools had gotten smart about giving out real skills to their students.

Yep. That’s pretty much it in a nutshell.

HAHAHA
OH WOW
No, ahh...but that was a good one. No, schools have started making everything about standardized testing; we dont learn life skills anymore, we learn how to take tests. The only place we get "life skills" anymore is elective classes.
