Basically what the title says. Are you for, or against the use of Marijuana?
Me personally, at this point, I’m against it. I’ve done it plenty of times, good shit, bad shit, mixed with other shit, never got me anywhere but paranoid. (If you’re one of those people who doesn’t get paranoid, then you’re probably one of those people who smoke up and vegetate in a basement, closet, or garage. It’s made a few of my smarter friends completely stupid, and I think I’ve burnt out a few brain cells by doing so. What do you think?
P.S. ASF (After Sex Farts) stink...like shit. Because your ass has shit in it.

Pro. It sucks that some people who smoke it get stupid. I may be one of them... I don’t really know - I haven’t been keeping track of my intelligence over the past year. All the anti-weed ads and propaganda seem stupid to me and never offer any facts.
I’m for it, because it’s dumbed me down. In elementary school i had all those tests and was college level for reading/writing, i could remember anything. I can’t write for shit now, I’m only good at spelling & grammar. I get confused really easily, i am paranoid by nature, but it’s only made it worse.
So i rarely do it now, unless i happen to have some and am either having a horrible day, or i can’t sleep(i don’t mean zomg it’s 10 pm, so late, i need some ganja, i mean 4 am)

For it, but I havent had a sesh in around a month and a half (I just threw away most of what I had in my jar cept for my biggest nugs for security reasons ;_;).
Honestly, that excuse "dur hes stupider cuz of teh muriwannr" is played as hell. I got straight A’s & B’s last report card, and about 1-2 weeks through that grading period I was tapering off my heavy marijuana use.
I still used it during that grading period, but I knew how to not let it affect most other things in my life. Most.
tl;dr: It doesnt make you stupid, though I might be the exception to the rule. Should also be legalized for other purposes I wont go into.
Has no effect on my intelligence. I see it as the most productive way of wasting time.
So I’m for lessened restrictions, but not flat out legality. That would be too big of a shock, say, allow people to buy it from certain outlets, not in public, etc.
it makes me more creative & it makes sex 10xs better.
After a little "outing", I had with 2 friends yesterday when he was telling me about why I should do it, he said the same thing, well, he said it made masturbation really good, which I thought was funny.

I couldn’t agree more. I’m for it so people can have it to do freely and so I wouldn’t have to hear people bitch about.

All I know is that is a helpful stress reliever, and that’s why it can help eple on tests that could be stressful, especially around times like finals.
I know a lot of people in my area who aren’t necessarily stupid, per-se, but they’re in a somewhat "vegetative-state" as described before by RE.

Actually, it does have an effect on academics, now that I remember (if I had a scanner, id show proof).
I took an SAT prep class this year, and I had to take an SAT diagnostic (just like the real thing, but not given by ETS), and for the last three sections of the test (we took the sections between days) I was baked off of some kinds I got from a friend the day before. The next two tests I took I was completely sober, and I got a lesser score on the two tests while sober than the test I took while I was high.
A 100-something point difference overall, actually.
If I remember correctly, the test I took high I scored like a 1600, then the two sober tests, I got a 1550 for one, then a 1500 for the other.
Either way, I stand by that alcohol is worse for your brain and cigarettes are worse for your lungs (if you smoke pot properly), and they’re both legal. Mind you, I don’t think it should be illegal for 15 year olds to smoke, and yes, it can be a problem in excess, but so can drinking, gambling, and a hell of a lot of other things.
Bungel, that might be because (supposedly) 9/10 times your first answer is the correct one, if you’re high, you’ll probably just go with the first answer that comes to mind, but if you’re sober, you’ll probably second-guess yourself.
YEAH, I SPELLED YOUR NAME WRONG ON PURPOSE, FOO

Lmao.
I’ve always seemed to perform better academically while high. I scored a 27 on ACTs high and hungover, I averaged out to a 3.75 of a possible 4.0 GPA while playing varsity football, etc. I do not remember a single day of 10th grade Biology, because it was the first class after my lunchtime smoke session with my sister, but I got an A. I’ve averaged about an 8th ounce per day over the last 15 months, but to this day if I hear a football statistic or a really nice lyric, I can remember it flawlessly. I’ve always been very eloquent.
I am 100% for the legalization of marijuana, within regulation. A recent national study found that a 0.5gram portion of marijuana sold for an average of $8.60, while production cost was $1.70. The profit margin is $6.90 per half gram, an average sale of marijuana is 3.5g, that’s roughly $49 worth of profit per average sale.
In California alone, NORML estimates if the state taxed an average joint sale at $1, the annual windfall would total $1,000,000,000. Add in the savings of $150,000,000 in their overpacked prison, judicial, and police systems. Add in the additional tax possibility of the spinoff industries created by legalization, such as coffee houses, and the California government alone would generate $8-$13 BILLION ANNUALLY. Goodbye deficit, goodbye rolling blackouts, goodbye Skid Row, hello the new beautiful California.
The federal government would never allow Californians to legalize marijuana. Even those with state-issued medical marijuana cards are subject to federal persecution.
Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) by itself has never been proven or scientifically questioned to be unhealthy. Using a vaporizer, which just vaporizes the THC while eliminating the toxins and carcinogens related to smoke, and there is no danger whatsoever with marijuana.
Many of the world’s brightest people have been marijuana users. William Shakespeare, Bill Gates, Randy Moss, John F Kennedy, etc.
There is no health risk to THC and we have the technology to create THC pills. There is a very substantial financial windfall to legalization. Most of America is now neutral on the issue. The question is not why should we legalize, it’s why shouldn’t we?
