I am making a jewelry box in wood class and on the top, I am engraving and then painting a confederate flag. People have came up to me and commented about how I am racist. I simply reply saying that it represents Southern Heritage, Freedom and honors the soldiers who fought in the confederate war. Yesterday some chick cut her finger off in a band saw so people have been coming in and out of class. Most of these are from the board or are administrators and If i am questioned I need backup. Seeing as I live in Canada and have always lived in Canada, I need some evidence that this isn’t racist and if they threaten to take it away I need some sort of argument preventing it.

Why the fuck would you even associate with the Confederasah if you live thousands of miles away from the south and have no connections (that I know of) to said Confederasah?

I visited my cousins who moved to Alabama last year. Everyone flies it down there and I thought that’s a cool flag(I collect flags). Last month we did a project on the confederate war. I also thought it was cool how the rebels told the government no and said fuck you we want our own colonie (sp)

The Confederate Flag is a symbol of a bunch of lazy malcontents who, because they didn’t get to play by their rules decided they were going home and taking the ball with them...why would any one want to assocate with that symbol? Its an incon of intolerance and stupidity
one of the things I never understood about America my home is why the symbol of civil unrest is allowed to still be hung out proudly. what other country allows the loosers of a war to drive around with their flag proudly displayed?

Yeah, they didnt wanna start their own colony because of "fuck you im a rebel"’s sake, they did it cause they just wanted state’s rights.

i only read your first post but you aren’t from the south have nothing to do with it and don’t know a DAMN thing about southern heritage, so dont make a fucking confederate flag.

I feel indifferent about Brjo (I dont like him, I dont hate him...), but I have to agree with everything here.
Nigger, I was born in the south and I can honestly say all the rednecks here dont even fly the rebel flag anymore. Its retarded, to be honest. Its all about flying state’s flags now.
The only connection you have to the south is that your cousins live there. They didnt originate from there, and I doubt any of your family originated there. Rebel flags are traditionally for southern NATIVES.

The closest thing to civil unrest you know about is when Quebec gets lippy every once in a while...the Confederates were assholes and shoulda got worse than what they got...not to mention the fact that they are fucking sore loosers ITS BEEN 143 AND THEY STILL CAN’T GET OVER IT

When I was there Bungle we counted 17 flags in a one mile straight away. I can’t use the excuse "The flag has a sweet design". No Heritage, no excuse is what everyones saying right?

It’s been 90 years since World War one and people still can’t get over it. They even have specific classes called "History" where you learn about the stuff that happened.
One hundred thousand more people died from the Union side. Therefore they did win something. Lazy, ignorant, self deluded assholes don’t come out with less casualties

Yeah, I said no one around HERE flies rebel flags anymore; probably cause we like Texas pride better than Confederahsah pride.
But yeah, no heritage no excuse basically. And yeah, GMT kinda raises a good point.
