does anyone know if welding electrode sticks an be used as a replacement for solidox, or if they are the same thing? I’m talkin about for mixing with sugar for the strictly educational reasons of testing an explosive.

Solding electrodes are a very dangerous thing to be messing with. But although they may or may not be used as replacements for solid boxes, I disapprove of you.

Welding electrodes are made of lathanated or thoriated tungsten, used in TIG welding (hence Tungsten Inert Gas). You may be speaking of welding rods, used in stick/arc welding. Those are made of the same shit corn dogs are, just on a smaller scale. MIG uses wire. Taste poop.
