Me an my friends plan on hittin the road either on bike or on foot, though more likely on bikes, and plan to ride to the ocean or out of state to New Hampshire. Apart from the obvious essential items we plan on packing: inner tubes, bike pump, tents, sleeping bags, knives, lighters, canned food, ramen noodles, handsaw etc. we were wondering about other things we may need. I was also wondering if any one else on RE has had any expierience bumming it before or gone on any simmilar "adventures" has any more advice for us.

Make sure NOT to bring electronics. It sounds obvious but there’s alot of ppl who would bring their ipod or cellphone.

If you’re relying on bikes, you better have the following with you:
-patch kits
-chain oil
-tire removal things (if you’re a bike noob)
-small basic tool set
-etc
Also:
-use worn out or skinny tires
-learn how to fix a flat tire
-etc
