...in my 1985 jaguar xj6
i got a 1000 watt amp powering a dual sub box holding two 12 inch subs
pretty sick so i thought id let u guys know

video? how bout a picture. and im hoping to at least set off some car alarms. i need a bigger amp to power both 12 inch subs. like either a 1200 or bridge the one i have with another one. my friend has two 10 inch subs in his car and a 800 watt amp and he has set off some car alarms driving with his truck open (he has a ’89 accord) so i should deff be able too

i dont have a video camera and the only thing i have to take picts or video with is my phone and the quality is so bad that it wont pick up the movement. like i said, i need a bigger amp so the movement isnt quite shattering yet but is is still LOUD and the windows do rattle

Why’d you put visonik subs and amps in? On a budget? Also two 12"ers wont rattle that much especially visonik, I don’t mean to be harsh but seriously consider getting half-decent equipment next time.

no i know visonik isnt the best brand when compared to like alpine ect, but i was on a budget of $200 for everything and this is my first system so i was planing on eventually upgrading diff parts as i move on from here. i heard the actual subs are good but the provided amp is under powered for both subs.
the whole thing was $200 for the package and a warranty.

Yea atleast you know that, It’s annoying that some people think they are great. They are good for their prices. Those are 400w rms each right? The amp should be suited for them if its 1000w, But knowing the company its probably over-ranked a few hundred watts. You should consider a ported enclosure for heavier bass and higher SPL (sound pressure level). When you plan on upgrading subs avoid the sony xplod series completely. Look for used amps at buy&sell stores, ussually pretty good deals there. Good-luck with your system.

Sound systems dont mean shit if youre playing lossy music with em.
If your car stereo plays .WAV, take advantage of that so your system doesnt sound like floppy tits vibrating on your speakers.

ya operator. the amp delivers 400 to each sub and it really is only a 800 watt amp but they claim 1000 but i know it isnt. i first plan on getting a new faceplate for my cd player then go from there cuz the one i have is an old kenwood.
i i listen rap with the subs. the song i have that hits the hardest is by far
E40-go hard or go home
if u have limewire and a system, def check it out

Yea I have bass testers, search those up, I’ve been installing car audio for a few months now with my friend, so if you need any advice.. Also get the best head unit you can afford, as that’s where your signal is coming from, even the best components cant make a $80 head unit sound great.
