I usually improv a lot of folky/indie, I guess/whatever sounding shit, so I dont use picks a lot.
I dont like the way the plastic sounds on the strings, TBH.

I like picks, but I’m usually too lazy too find one.
When I’m playing a solo that has tapping in it, I have to put the pick down, and I usually don’t have enough time to pick the pick up again, so I just start playing with my fingers, and forget about the pick altogether.
With electrics, the amp overpowers any sound from the guitar, so the plastic flippy/clicky sound doesn’t matter.

Well, that would be hard since I toggle between heavy metal (pick) and classical (fingers). But, ok... pick thats my pick.

I think it would be interesting to know what TYPE of pick people use.
I use a small pick, smaller than the average pick, and totally inflexible. It’s matte black, and relatively thick. Thats not the only pick I use, of course, just my favorite.

Arpeggiated songs like stairway I just use my fingers and hold my pick in my mouth till im Done using them. Mostly pick though, because their is all kinds of picking techniques that you can learn for shredding and things.

Also my favorite pick is a triangular green one I have and a black dunlop one with grippy things on the side. Also thin picks are preferable for me

The picks I do have are those Dunlop gator picks.
The purple ones (.71mm) and the green ones (1.5mm).

I used to have 3 picks that came in a packet, one was made of camel bone, one of glass and one of this really hard black rock stuff.
