My nickname is Brjo.
My cousin originally made me Tony Hawk 1 skater named Brjo for me. This was when Curtis Joseph played for the maple leafs (CuJu)
I got it by combining my first two letters of my name (Br) and my first two of my last name (Jo)
Meaning: Nothing

Everyone I know calls me Brjo besides my parents. Some teachers call me it, friends parents and friends. I have had it since I can remember

so it’s pronounced Bur-Joe? or Bruh-Joe?

I’ve always kind of said it in my head with a silent J or with a german sounding J (Br-yo) but that may just be because i’m german =P

yeah i know haha

Technically speaking, my name ’Max’ is a nickname, as legally my first name is Tyler (which was due to a typo on my birth certificate, fucking government.

but I was recently given the name ’Rush’ by a group of friends I hang out with a lot.

I got it for being ’the fast one’. apperantly everything I do, I do insanely fast haha
keep in mind these people im chilling with are predominently street kids, so we concider our ’nicknames’ our real names. on a side note, I do not concider MYSELF a street kid as i have a home, but lately I’ve been spending very little time here (as evidenced by my lack of activity on RE) so I sort of have two names I guess.

There are many people who know me simply as ’Max’ but there are also many people who know me as ONLY Rush, so it’s kind of a ’second life’ if that makes sense haha

I wish I could remember the backstory to my friend Psalm-B’ name (pronounced Zombie) it’s actually a damn epic story and makes a shitload of sense haha

nicknames of the people I hang out with:

Psalm-B
Pyro
Arson/Jager (Yager)
Devo
Brit (he’s a dude)
Hedgepig
Shadow
Spaz
Syren
Cheez (fucking COOLEST gay dude EVER.)
RV (stands for rape victim, LONG story there bahahaha)
Kaze

every one of those names was GIVEN to the people over the years, and DOES have meaning behind it, so no, Pyro, Arson, and Shadow and anything there that sounds ’generic’ actually do mean something.

haha we use the ’nicknames’ (I use parenthesize because we DO concider them our real names, just not our legal ones) as a safety measure as well as a way to identify ourselves as individuals.

What are you more likely to remember? a guy named Shadow? or a guy named Chris?

I’m just curious if this goes on in more places, because i’ve noticed that a LOT of people around where i live/hang out use ’nicknames’ and was wondering if thats just somethign around here, or if it goes on in other places too?

Some people at my shool call me "The Jackass." Not as in "Hey that guy is a jackass" but like "He is The Jackass."
Its all because one of my ex-girlfriends decided to call me that and then all of my friends started using it as like a title for me.

Chrispy - When you put my first name and last name initial together. (Chris P.)

Captain - Long story short, some dumb project in 8th grade where I was called captain by one of my friends, name just stuck.

Processor - Someone mispronounced my last name over the announcements back in 6th grade. Now as a senior, people still call me that.

Mason Jar - My middle name is Mason, so this one girl calls me that

Then this other girl combines them all to get "Crispy Creme Mason Jar"

There are more, but I can’t think of them cause I don’t talk to those people as much, so it isn’t right on my mind.

I’m known as Foxy to one person (because I’m a furry). I’m also known as a lot of variants of my first and last names, Tom, Tommy, Tom-Tom, Tommers, T-Rip, Trip, Rippy, Trippy, Tumnus, T-Man, Mr. T.
Some even like to call me Null Pointer Exception (NPE)
