He is pretty knowledged on how to run computers , so Today I asked him to put some ram I just got into the computer , he said thats easy. I am way more knowledged then him by the way , I just didn’t feel like doing it. So I go and take a shower and when I come back he says the computer messed up. He said he installed the new ram (same kind of ram I got the right one) and he put the side back on and turned it off. Then he turned it back on and it made 3 beeps and it wont start. It will run but the monitor won’t even start on or anything. So he took out and put new ram into my main computer while it was on. Did this fuck it up bad or what? If so he owes me a new computer.

It didn’t fuck up.
Either:
1) It’s not inserted correctly
2) The RAM is not accepted by your motherboard (The RAM you bought is not right for your motherboard)
You also MAY have killed it by static, probably not though.

I have learned that the first thing you need to do is check the cables. If not then I dont know.

I agree with m0rtified p3nguin. If you can do it yourself than you should’ve. But I have no idea about computers so I’m sorry I’m not much help here. I guess you learned your lesson for next time.

Hahaha
Oh btw if you ’re "knowledged" about computers you should probably know how to put a ram chip in in less than 10 mins at least so no reason of making your brother do it.

If you get the right RAM, you should take less than one minute.
Just open the case, pop it in (or pop the old one out, WHATEVER.), close the case, and turn it on.
DER.

Holy Fuck. How complicated can this get? Its as simple as plugging it in.
It is as simple as plugging something into a usb port.
How is it possible to fuck it up. Jesus.
Also it should take 10 minues...

Yeah... Day one says ’turn computer off’...
It also says ’unplug power cord’, but I usually leave it plugged in for grounding purposes...
That probably fried it... Maybe just the RAM, but probably both the RAM and the mobo.
