This topic is basically a survey for myself.
I’m trying to find out how many people on this forum can pick locks already, or are interested in picking locks.
When or if enough people are interested, it will result in an RE lock picking group.
If you’re interested, report in!

I’ve done it before on some low quality locks but nothing serious. Its been years since I’ve even thought about picking locks and am so out of practice that it would take forever to get back into it. It isn’t worth my time.

I saw that video that’s on-line and is super popular (apparently) about how to pick locks by just putting a key to fit in the lock and then tapping the end of it with the end of a screw-driver. I don’t know how well it works, but you can count me in for the group.

Some guy on a news station was doing a report on those and went to show how easy it was, but couldn’t get the door open. He made himself look dumb, and the whole report look useless.

Thats what we call "bumping", unlike picking it requires zero skill.

I am very interested in picking locks. School starts soon and I want to be able to protect all my stuff. Usually I just buy an Office Max lock but you guys sound like there is much more than just grabbing a lock and paying for it.
....I’m missing somthing
