ShadyGrey posted another forum topic about the controversial group "The Alliance" about a year ago, But I want to see who still here remembers about 2 or 3 years ago when I ran a group called "The Mafia"
Many many members have left since then, I am ONE of the oldest members on this site and I doubt many remember it. It was bigger and way more controversial then the alliance, it had like 140 members and had a "Hitlist" of members that were enemies of the mafia, we mostly just infiltrated spam and racist groups in the site by making fake accounts and deleted them, we made spammers leave and kept the site clean for the most part when the egg mods where not doing there job.
It got out of hand when we realized we had a lot of power and started making alot of members egg points to the group for protection, The site admin "Ihatenames" at the time told me to disban the group or my account and group would be deleted.
Defiler was the main enemy of the group lol we never got along too well at all.

I really can’t find any threads about the mafia, that’s weird. I remember when you first joined gimp.
It’s funny how one person that no one knows could change the site in so many ways.
I look back in some of the old threads and just remember. All these high ranking members and levels.......I watched almost all of you come up.
I remember when this site was all about member level, and who was the big dog on the block lol....who had the bigger "E-penis" as some of them would like to say.
There are rules on this site that stand today because of that I did and made people realize.........I am going to stick around, I am going to change RE again.
Stay around and watch......I never thought I would ever come back, I left so many times but I spent a lot of my bored teenage life on this site, when I had nothing else to do I was hear laughing at all the stupid stuff and involving myself in drama.
As much as you all don’t want to admit.....you love this site and it is another place to come to get away from the world.....it is your world away from reality.
Don’t let this site die..........

- New pretty background picture & logo
- Reduction in the monetary reward for making this site money and hitting level 99 to $20.

RER, you know that you, Gimp, and I are the only cool people in this thread...
And I beg to differ; this site has thrived so far considering weve had minimal SysOp involvement. IMO, we need more content to be submitted by the users to rectify (rectumfy?) this problem, somewhat.
Yeah, the paranoia bugs, not being able to upload images, rating system working only half the time, and other things are all problems that need to be fixed, I do agree there. But theres ways around them on the user end, and only about two of those three problems majorly affect user-submitted content. This site is kind of like *another site* where the site is pretty much ran by how and what kind of shit users put into the site.
Summary: Yeah, site’s fucked up, but that doesnt stop you from submitting content, so...DO IT.

I don’t even know if it’s worth modding on this site because of the fact that I see nothing from the job except annoying fucking eggmails about topics and members people don’t like.

I got around paranoia easily. No problem. Now think about that: If *I*can get around paranoia, anyone should be able to do it.
And as for the last two reasons, as of right now, your reward is that much less "RE IS DIEING AGAIN WHERES R4 CUZ R4 WILL MAKE IT ALL BETTER LOL" threads.

Who is going to give a shit about a site where all the members bitch and complain, unlike most of you the sysop probably has a job and more important matters to attend too.
Crying and complaining isn’t going to help shit.....we have this site so why not make the best of it? It’s pretty bad when one of our leaders (A forum mod) talks bad about the site.

I work 12 hours shifts, and run my own site which is constantly getting worked on, or at least thought about what can be worked on.

I’m a leader all of the sudden? If that were the case I’d make an educational post about how sites income drops when people use AdBlock, and why we should make sure to do that because the monetary reward just dropped when people approach the level that it was promised at.
As for contributing, sure I’m here posting, which is contributing, you’re right. I’m talking about content that draws members in. Do you think that me adding this to this topic will cause anybody to join? No. Me adding eggs on how to do something, or exploring somewhere, well that most certainly might. Because I do not see anything increasing but a number under my nickname for doing so, I choose the former of the options here.
