So I had just finished installing a new engine in my 2000 Toyota Celica Gt. My step dad and i took 3 weekends to work on it, and while we did i put performance headers, oil filter, and air filters, and a custom exhaust. Im now gonna tint the windows which the car has been lacking and install 2 12" Rockford Fosgate T 2’s.
post images of your car, and modifications you may have done
here is the exhaust

Although it is a pain in the ass, it always feels good knowing that you did the work to get a car running. Nice job.

lol Piles, I was just searching youtube for "Celica exhaust" last night! I wouldn’t mind a beefier sound but know jack shit about exhausts really, and blew my whole budget actually buying the damn car! lol. I want to tint the windows too, and I have a brand new amp and some decent speakers from a while back that I’ve been waiting to put into something. Been looking at alloys and bodykits/lip kits too but sooo don’t have the money at the moment.
The only "mod" I have done so far is that I fixed the headlights last night, there was a problem with dipped beam, which is sorted now. Also, I cleaned it last week but it’s filthy again allready, lol.

wow talk about a rice-rocket exhaust haha but it sounds sick
this is my car, 1993 GMC suburban haha only custom thing are the blacked out windows and my sound system. new HU, speakers, and 2 Visonik 12’s (decent subs) in a custom bandpass enclosure with 4 huge ports on top powered by a 1000 watt amp. that shit is loud as fuck.
o and the white table behind my subs is a hinged, full size, fold out Beer Pong table hahaha

I’ve always loved mechanical engineering, which is why I’m taking it as my major. It may not be the best job ever, but being a mechanic would be sweet.

Thanks to everyone who appreciates it and didn’t hate.

Ya no kidding, i felt so happy starting it up, took a couple tries obviously since it had no fuel in the new engine. I’m getting the computer reset tomorrow so its synchronized to the new engine.

Its the same size engine, just has 50,763 less miles or some shit around that. The car has been worked on before, new tranny and clutch at 100,000 miles. now has new engine, new tranny, and clutch.
mods go like this.
-new engine
-new clutch
-new transmission
-performance headers
-custom exhaust
-i took my daytime running light fuse out so the running lights don’t automatically turn on now.
things imma do within the next 2 weeks
-tint windows
-2 12’’ rockford fosgate t 2’s (no need for amp since i have two 1000 watt kick mono block amps)
progressively imma trick it out more.
-rims
-slight body kit
-new custom tail and head lights
-etc.
any good sites to order performance parts for a 2000 toyota celica gt?

You got any in mind?
I was initially looking at the VS (VeilSIde) bodykit (click here) but decided the front bumper would be too low for the roads areound here, so then I found the lip kit which seems better suited.

My two vehicles:
#1 is my 95 Trans Am, 5.7L LT1 V8. Pushing 120,000 miles and still runs like a champ.
#2 is my new baby, 1992 Ford E-350 School bus. I bought it straight out of the storage yard of the school district a little ways south of here. My dad and I spent a week or so turning it into a "motorhome" for registration and insurance purposes. Why is it pink you may ask? Apparently, its illegal to drive a yellow school bus around because if you could rape little kids in it or something, so in order to avoid a fat fine I painted it. I had no paint besides the 5 gallons of pink paint my neighbor gave me for free. As you can see, its a bit of a work in progress, but its still a really cool place to chill out. The bus is very mechanically sound. It has 220,000 miles on it, which is a lot but considering its a diesel bus and it was maintained well by the school district, it runs great and doesnt leak a drop.
Cost of bus...............$375
DMV fees for one year.....$115
Insurance for one year....$250
Interior modifications....$60 (god bless the "free" section of craislist)
Amenities include couch, massage/heat chair, large TV with Ps2 and subwoofer hooked up, ice cold A/C unit, stove, sink, Jack LaLanne power juicer and fridge.
So, it total, im out about $800 for this whole project. Im currently working on a microcontroller controlled LED lighting system that will strobe and glow and shit like that.

This is an old picture of my R31 Skyline,
It now has a 2.5 inch free flowing exhaust.
It just needs paintjob rims and a globe for the interior light and shes done.
^ R31
^ A dusty RB30E
And here’s my girlfriends Nissan Exa with a CA16DE ( i wan’t to change to ca18det haha )
Now for anyone thats confused,
D means double overhead cam
E means electronic injection
T means turbo
RB30, CA16 and CA18 are engine names.
