Quote: The first US death from swine flu has been confirmed amid increasing global anxiety over a health menace that authorities around the world are struggling to contain.
Until now, deaths have been confined to Mexico, where more than 150 have died and well over 2000 taken ill.
FAIL lol....
Idk if i should be scared or not.

My mom is a doctor who’s worked through pandemics before.
And she says that the only people who have died are people who have recieved zero treatment eg. Mexicans.
And anyone who has caught swine flu and had treatment has been, and will be fine.

We have the medication to treat it, I’m more worried about how convenient that is for the pharm companies.

Im not worried. I have survival and hunting skills. I can just go live in the nearby mountain forests until its gone. Sounds like fun actually.

My girlfriend might have it (I’m hoping not but she has been sick and has all the symptoms) so I may be getting it soon.

There was a reported case in Abeline, a town which is about 30 minutes from me. All the schools in the area will be closing down if only 1 confirmed case is discovered in the district, so if 1 person in my school or the neighboring town of Clay Center gets it, I don’t get to graduate untill the pandemic is over.
Shits fucked up.

Considering they don’t have a vaccine this could keep spreading for a while. Right now its contained to North America but if it spreads globally than it will be very hard to treat everyone.

I have heard it’s already in Scotland, England, Spain, France, and China.
It was contracted by people who had been to mexico
on vacations, honeymoons, and exchange students.
It may go world wide after all.

My mom works in the infectious diseases field, so she has a lot of info about swine flu.
She left a message on my phone warning me to go to the health center immediately if I feel sick at all. Also, she is very worried that this is going to be big. Like pandemic big. Apparently the swine flu has part of the human flu virus in it, which makes it very easy to transmit among humans, as opposed to bird flu, which there was only one human-to-human transfer reported.
She’s worried which makes me worried.
