What’s up, I installed Vista Home Premium on my macbook a couple days ago because my mom bought it for her computer. It’s a legit copy but when I try to activate the serial number it says it’s not valid? I chose to install Home Premium so it’s not the wrong edition. What are my options here??
I’m not a stranger to torrents and software piracy but I figured this isn’t the place to be discussing that stuff.
Yeah I know it’s blurry but yeah, it’s a real copy.
It’s only the update edition if that helps anything. And from what I can recall It can be installed up to 5 times?? maybe not? idk. Also my mom didn’t get it working on her PC because of the video card. So the serial number hasn’t been used yet.

Their are a couple option to do it. You can partition the hard drive or use an emulator type of program liek Parallels.

I have Vista on my MacBook, but I don’t really use it except to write essays, because I hate Word for Mac. I’m on it right now, actually.
You said it was an "update edition" that you installed? I may be wrong, but I believe you need the original Vista already installed if the update version is going to work at all.
Other than that, if I was you, I’d:
-Call Microsoft and explain. My friend did this and they gave him a new activation code (I think he had to prove that he bought it though)
-Download a Vista keygen and generate a serial number that you can use to activate it. I’ve done this with many programs before, but with an operating system, it may be a whole different story. I think I read somewhere that Microsoft has some way of telling if a key code is legit, and that pirated versions will only contain the basic, limited features until a proper activation code is purchased.

I agree, I don’t really like the way office is on mac, the same goes for MSN Messenger, It is stripped of all the things that a messenger should have, webcam support, conference calls, winks and stuff like that.
I have tried to find an activator crack type thing but, with the recent shut down of www.Thepiratebay.com, I am having a hard time finding a torrent site that was as easy to use as The Pirate bay.
I’ve had Vista on here and within 2 days of just web browsing I’ve got all sorts of virus’.
I’m about ready to trash the whole thing, but I kind of want it on here to fuck around with it.
PM with a good torrent site?

Google "torrent," the first 5 sites are ones that I have used before. They’re all pretty good.

If you are like my friend you can get the tweaked graphics driver that lets you fully run Aero (for some reason, vista won’t allow running Aero on the graphics card because its apparently too old).logo

I find isohunt to be alot easier to use than Piratebay

if its a vista upgrade your pretty much out of luck, but i have seen a triple boot mac (vista, osx, ubuntu) so vista will work if you have an initial install disk not an upgrade
