I am not a ’computer guy’
I dunno how my keyboard works, just that when i press a letter, it comes up on the screen.
I dont care how any of it works, just that it does.
Equally uncomprehensable to me
is stuff like video cards and sound cards or whatever.
My last computer was a desktop so there was no issue with whether i could play a game or not.
But now I have this Samsung NC-10 (mine is white :P),
because my desktop sharted,
then died
Please RE,
find me a FPS to play on my laptop,
Anything!

I can play TF2 and BF 1942 on my three year old HP laptop. Might wanna give those a try. CS 1.6 and Source should be good as well.

Hmm its a atom processor so its the 1.6ghz, It is only VGA for gfx, i believe VGA is 64mb? not entirely sure on that.
Netbooks were never made for gaming. Like thingy said cod1 and 2 you might be able to play.
Also id reccomend getting C&C red alert, Remember the windows 95 version, Man did it pwn. Such a awesome game.

Lol I love how I’ve been reduced to thingy now, hahahha :D
Also, with the Graphics Accelerator he has, he can use up to 224mb of his 1 gig of RAM all at 400mhz. Its by no means strong, but its not totally weak either. The real problem I saw him running into with games was the Atom CPU, which is only at 1.6 Ghz. (However, now as I type this, I realize my brother’s computer is only a 1.6 Ghz Athlon, and games such as America’s Army run well enough on it, as do Call of Duty 1 and 2 and CS:S)

Soldier of Fortune II: Double Helix Multiplayer Test
Give it a go, Really low graphics and i guarantee that your computer can run it. It has bad graphics but it is only 52mb and a pretty good game. I’m not sure if anyone else on RE plays it but i remember playing it with RivalZone one time. The game is also free - The demo one. Demo = Only one map. Most people play the demo one i think though, It has quite a few servers. Some people even make clans on it (demo version!).

Sorry for page stretch.

Here is an awesome website...
http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srtest
It will give you a big list of games & stuff, and then tell you if your computer can run it :)
It is very accurate. Well, at least for my computer it has been.
Btw.... I can tell you what you can’t play.
You can’t lpay Bf2 :( or CoD 5. Or even Ahlo Combat Evolved for PC.
Because these netbooks, there Graphics Cards don’t have "Light Rendering"
Meaning they suck, alot, when it comes to games.
(I have a netbook, so trust me) lol

have you tried playing the new game crytostatis? awesome game! but youll never ever be able to play it on your net book. i have a quad core 3.0ghz and 2gbs of oc ram with a 512mb 9800gtz oc and i cant play it at medium graphics without it crashing a few minutes later.

Thanks for the 5*’s Tuffy,
the game should run really easy. I have wireless internet (goes through a few rooms) and i usually cant play any games without it lagging for ages (including CS 1.6) and this game (SOF2) barely lags.
Another game i can suggest (that i just got today) is ’Halo Combat Evolved’
I have a 70mb 7zip’d version of it (compressed). It is multiplayer and runs really well on my wireless pc, It shouldn’t require that much specs.
Screen Shots:
Portable Version Download [RS]
Portable Version = Online play only and it is free because it runs through GameSpys servers. It is also compresed into 80mb (exe file).
