I have an interesting question, in which I am sure some of you know the answer. (More specifically a mod)
How come on this website, we are not allowed to post things against the ruleS?
(Ie: The end result is becasue Weasel is held Liable)
What I am getting at is...
How come site like Anonib & 4chan can post that stuff? And not have a care in the world?
It’s not actually annoymous, because your computer IP is recorded.
(It says that in the liability section)
Rotteneggs even has something saying it is not held responsible?
Or is it simply because he doesn’t want a bunch of crap on this website?
But please don’t give me an answer saying "leave if you don’t like it"

Well, 4chan really only posts porn/gruesome/racist images. And when you you click on the link to /b/, a thing pops up where you have to confirm you’re over 18. If you’re over 18 cool, and if you’re not, even if you say you are, then 4chan still can’t be held responsible because you lied.
I can see how bomb/drug tutorials on RE carry more liability than a simple porn gif. But RE also has the disclaimer on top of every egg which releases the site from liability in case you get hurt attemptimg to recreate something you saw in an egg.
But it’s like this: Headshops can legally sell bongs if they’re labeled "for tobacco use only." If you choose to smoke weed out of it, that’s your choice, and the place that sold it to you can’t be held liable for your decision. I think it should be like that on RE. If the eggs are labeled "for entertainment/educational purposes only," then I think any subject egg should be allowed. (They were in the past; what changed?)

Ditto great idea,
and what if we all just accept a liability waiver on top of that, such as for chan.
And the bomb and injury problem would be solved by the "for entertainment purposes only" thing

Thing about porn is, if you’re under 18 you can’t look at it...and if you’re over 18 and you give people under 18 access to porn, you get held liable.

We can’t have porn here or anything that requires you to be over 18 because you have to at least be 13, not 18.
If we were allowed to post that stuff, and the registration said at least 13 RE would be held liable for distributing porn, or whatever it is. If it was changed to 18 to join RE, nobody would give a flying fuck.

TBH, I think it’s based more on the owner’s opinion rather than governmental laws and liabilities.

Yes Dodge,if weasel says no, that’s about that, What his reasoning for it might be has nothing to do with it. Seeing as he owns it, he makes the guidelines to his liking.
