I recently became adapted to a new musical lifestyle and I know much of you guys on RE jam to metal. So as a favor I ask my fellow metal lovers to help me find some goods songs.
My favorite song is Entombment of a machine by job for a cowboy, so anything along the lines of that or anything along the lines of lamb of god.

I like Danzig (its kind of like a blues-hard rock-metal mix with a lot of dark imagery) and Samhain. I like a lot of Rob Zombie’s stuff. Drowning Pool’s earlier material was pretty good. and Metallica obviously.
I’ve never listened to the song or the artists you mentioned. I just listed some of my favorite metal bands. Hopefully you’ll find something out of those.

I’m going to start off with probably the best Metal band out there right now, Mastodon. The 10 Minute Epic "The Czar" Off Of Their Latest Release, Crack The Skye, Which Is More Progressive Rock Than Metal, But Still Fairly Heavy and Melodic.
The Best Song Off Of Their First CD (Remissions) called "Mother Puncher" Played Live.
My favorite song off of their Blood Mountain CD, "Capillarian Crest".
This is one of my favorite songs by them, "Megalodon" off their Leviathan CD. Listen for the badass southern rock guitar solo about a minute and a half into the song I think.
If you want some really intense music that you can just get lost in, definitely check out some "Post-Metal" bands such as Isis (I’d suggest the albums Panopticon, Wavering Radiant, and Oceanic as their best.) There’s also the band Neurosis, and Intronaut who are also fantastic.
As for bands like Job For A Cowboy, there’s A LOT better, both musically and vocally. The three that come to mind that most people by now probably know I like are The Fall Of Troy (Listen to their most recent EP, "Phantoms On The Horizon". Unbelieveable.), Protest The Hero (I like Kezia a ton, but their new CD is just as awesome and shows how they’ve evolved as a band, so definitely check out Fortress too), and Between The Buried and Me (I think that I enjoy their Colors album more, but Alaska is still a damn good CD nonetheless). These bands are more Progressive Metal/Math-Rock, I guess, but they’re probably my favorites.
