Got 3 Ds, 5 Bs, and a C.
I wanted to take A levels in Biology, Classical Civilisation, 19th & 20th Cent. History, and 17th Cent. History.
Ended up taking Politics, 17th Century, Classic Civ, and the same goddamn maths course I took this year.
Politics souldn’t be so bad, but fuck maths.
Anyways...
Ever happen to you guys? I take it there’s one or two of you guys at least going in to college (not as in university, but English college) this coming september?

I got mostly B’s at GCSE (I think you mean gcse’s?) and a few C’s and a D which meant I couldn’t do a few of the things I wanted. But I managed to do Biology at A level which im going onto A2 now. Is there a chance that if you pleaded with the college you’d be able to do Biology?

Wanted to go into Computer Science, didn’t get in at the university I could afford (because it’s actually in my city). Instead, managed to get a college course that a provincial electricity company is sponsoring, I’ll end up being a well-paid electrician at said company in three years. Probably a better choice than computer science.

Yehp. And I need an A in my sciences to get them to ’make an acception’... So gay.
We took 5 science papers, and I got 3 Bs and 2 As, so if I got one more A I probably would have been able to. I only really wanted to take Biology so I could learn to grow realllly really well.
NP, Computer science = geek, an electrician however has no stereotypes tied to it and seems like pretty skilled work...

I’ll be getting all £30 because my mother who I live with doesn’t get much income but my father (who works in America) still sends money over.
Kind of cheating the system? Idk, but I get £30 a week, so awesome.

EMA was a godsend. I got the full ammount too. Kicked ass.
I didn’t do as well as I’d hoped in my exams but I didn’t really need anything anyway. I failed Higher maths (Scottish Qualification System) and still managed to get an apprenticeship in mechanics, and then even got into banking. And on wednesday I was head-hunted by and accepted a job with a solicitor, where I will also be doing a bit of accounting work.
I also failed Advanced Higher Computing (1st year university level), but I blame the fact that we had to do it on shitty imacs which had tony hawks installed so I spent most of the year just playing that (I was the only person taking the advanced class and had no supervision).
But, that withstanding, I have at least 2, maybe 3 websites which I am being paid to build for local businesses. I have also, in the past, used my photoshop skills for newspaper adverts for a local company.
Grades aren’t everything.

It’s been a pretty full on year for me, took on way too many courses at Uni. Doing papers in Law, Accounting and Management. Granted management is piss easy, it’s law that gives me a headache.
But doing good around 85-90% averages for my scores.

I wish I had picked myself up a trade.

I got a couple of A*s, a few As and the rest Bs. Got on all my courses.
I still haven’t sent off my EMA application yet ¬_¬ but for the boundaries I’ll get the £30. I still need to give proof of my bank account, and I always threw my statements away and get them online now. Banks are closed on a Sunday so I have to wait until Monday, bah.

You know, when I completed high school (We go up to grades 10 and yr 11 and 12 is like college but you don’t need to go to get a good job here in Aus)
I got 4 SA’s (Satisfactory Achievment in English, PE, Maths, French, SOSE) and an EA (Excellent Achievment, which is the highest you can get) In Science and Biology.
A few other subjects I did I can’t really remember what my scores were..I’d have to dig out my certificate out to look.
