Metallica started off playing thrash and then with Load and ReLoad made some really decent stuff which was equally awesome. Just because it doesn’t sound like thrash metal may mean they’ve ventured from their roots, but who gives a fuck? It sounds good. Why the fuck do roots matter? They’re not pumping out the same shit all the time. Good for them.
and all this Megadeth Vs. Metallica?
Fuck you all. They’re different bands. Don’t compare them. Mustaine may have been kicked out and got back on his feet and made some awesome music but that doesn’t mean you have to put Endgame and Death Magnetic side by side and see which one has stuck to their fucking roots.

Haven’t heard much Megadeth to be perfectly honest. Only Endgame. I didn’t really enjoy it. What the fuck are the lyrics about? In all seriousness. I prefered the lyrics on Linkin Park’s Meteora more than I prefered the lyrics on Endgame. Obviously, the riffs and hench everything else is better than Linkin Park, but seriously. A song about driving a car? A SONG ABOUT DRIVING A FUCKING CAR? Suck my goddamn dick.
I hope Dave knows ’Need’ and ’Speed’ have been rhymed before.
All this Kirk Hammet Vs Dave Mustaine bullshit is all shitty bullshit too. Kirk isn’t gay. Kirk is fucking skilled. Dave is a little more fucking skilled.

@ OP, one of the reasons that I like Metallica more than Megadeth is that Megadeth may have stolen a few of Metallica’s songs.
Don’t beleive me? Try listening me to Metallica’s The Four Horsemen and then Megadeth’s Mechanix. You cant tell me those riffs aren’t the same, if not at different speeds.

Mechanix was written by Mustaine, who left the band and changed it to Mechanix.
I love Megadeth more than I do Metallica, but I also love Metallica.
