I need help!
I have to graph these things for my biology class and it’s confusing (I suck at graphs..)
Anyways we have to graph the population of Rabbits and Lynx on one graph. Except it’s hard to figure out how to do this because the numbers between them or so damn different.
Rabbits:
300, 500, 700, 400, 500, 700, 350, 425, 650, 350, 454, 600
Lynx: 65, 58, 40, 52... the highest it goes to is 70.
Anyways, I’m wondering for the graph, what should I go up by? I can’t be accurate if I go up by 50’s, because there is little room. This also has to be done on a half sheet of paper...
I really need help =/
I don’t know the name of the style of graph, but the basic "L" shaped graph.

There’s a million online graphers...just plug the coordinates in the graph and let the program do it for you. Print it out and use it to help you draw it out on graph paper.

What is going across the bottom. I would put Lynx population on the bottom and rabbit on the top, assuming that you are comparing population. I also assume you are doing population dynamics, amirite

L shaped graph helps not.
Try googling (image) "graph" and post a picture of what it looks like here, then we’ll talk.

I’m thinking he means a graph that is only in the first quadrant and has all positive integers (can’t have a negative population).

Fuck man sorry about triple post but ignore that link. I just skimmed over the page but looking at it again, it isn’t what you’re looking for.

I’d just go up by hundreds. If it’s inaccurate, it’s inaccurate. At least you’ll be able to fit all the information on it.

Set your coordinates to be only positive as CTD said since there are no negative populations. When graphing each point, set it against an incremental tick mark on the x-axis. It’s really the time axis so each point is a point in time.
For example, when t=1 rabbits=300 and lynx=65. When t=2 rabbits=500 and lynx=58 etc.
What you’re trying to illustrate is that when the rabbit population increases, so does the lynx population until the lynx thin down the rabbit population decreasing it. Then the lynx begin starving and die off and their population shrinks so then the rabbits can breed without worry of being eaten until the lynx population grows strong again, etc etc. I want to say it illustrates a harmonic series but I cannot remember if that is the correct term and I cbf to look it up. However, I did find some graphs on google.
BTW, I won’t be much for a while.

I used to teach SAT prep. However, you can get books that will do exactly the same thing. You can also get braindumps. Look that one up on torrents and then five my profile. XD

I’m confused as to what your x-axis is. Are you graphing them in relation to one another, or are you making two separate lines and graphing them in relation to time?

x-axis is time. Yes, you would plot two separate graphs on the coordinate system. There are nice examples on the google link I gave.
