I finally managed to get the guys insurance information, I talked to his insurance agent that I guess sent out an adjuster to look at my car last week, but didn’t bother to knock and let me know he was there, and didn’t do anything because my car has been in my garage since the beginning of the month.
There is suppose to be another adjuster coming to look at the car and write me a check right there, I guess.
I think all I have to do before an adjuster comes out is get the last estimate e-mailed to my neighbors insurance agent, since he’s the one that hit my car.
If the adjuster writes me a check right on the spot, then I should have around $1600 in a few days, or if he mails it, then I should have $1600 in about a week or so.
Reply if you want, it doesn’t matter.

1 Passenger door
1 Sliding side door
1 Dent puller rental
1 Gateway computer from Best Buy, link in my other thread
And whatever else seems important at the time.
I need the doors because their so fucked, the sliding door opened on me the other night I was driving, and the passenger door, the latch in the door is snapped in half and is hard to close.

Dude, you shouldn’t let them write you a check. When you have it fixed, the guys at the repair shop could very well find other damages to the frame that were missed. Ideally, you need to get them to pay for the repairs on the car after the car is repaired. At least that’s how we’re handling my car right now.

Yeah, the Vandals right, make sure they pay you after you get it fixed.
And besides, you may be able to get them to pay for anything you might have done before the crash...

I’m not getting it fixed, I’m just going to pull the dent out. I have a better use for the money than to fix a 1994 plymouth that I got for free, It’s drivable, and I don’t care what the outside looks like, I’m always on the inside anyways, and the inside is mint.
I’m also going to buy a cd to cassette adapter and buy a cheap $50 4GB mp3 player so that I can listen to any song I choose to, I fucking hate regular radios.

Depending on which State you live in, the car may not pass inspection if it is not up to safety standards.
You may want to check that out first before you spend the money and you want to keep driving this car.

I don’t even know where to go to get it inspected, and I’ve seen cars way worse than mine and they’ve been driving around for more than two years.
And I’m going to pull the dent out myself, and that’s not a safety issue, the doors are, that’s why I’m going to replace them.

Maybe just move to Kentucky . I dont think there are inspections . I’ve seen windshields that look like road maps there .

Today’s woot is an emachine for $199.00 + $5 shipping (the specs on the other machines are twice as good, though). FYI.
