I’m surprised you endorse Fords, FW. I have an F-250 in excellent condition which I got really cheap. Had 42K miles and I picked it up for $5700 from a coworker who bought it off the lot and took excellent care of it. The first time I took it to get an oil change, the tech thought it was new because the undercarriage had no rust or signs of wear at all.
It’s a very tall truck for me. I stand at about 5’6" and I literally have to climb up in it. Sometimes I catch strangers laughing at me when I get out of it. I suppose I look like a midget compared to it. lol
It has extra overload springs on the back because the former owner briefly had an overhead camper on it (which came with the truck and I immediately sold). It has two fuel tanks and a geared down rear axle for mountain hauling. BTW, my truck could literally drive over that Ford Ranger and probably not get a scratch on it. Of course, my truck gets about 19 miles to the gallon too. I have 6 vehicles, BTW. I have a sedan, a station wagon, a sports car, a motorcyle, a truck and a van. Some I received for free from friends. I have a 2 car garage and two driveways. All parking spots are full.

1995 so it’s older. Still looks and runs like new. It took me a while to get used to parking it. Sucker is big.

What did they want for it? Also, pull a carfax report on any used cars. It will tell you if an insurance claim was made on it.

BTW, Mazda trucks are made with the same parts in the same factories as Ford Rangers. Get Flaming Wheelchair and/or Dodge to verify this because if it’s true (and I’m pretty sure it is), they’re significantly less expensive for the same thing.
Oh, and for the record, I’m an old lady. Not a "he".

That is true, same with Mitsubishi and Dodge -- it’s actually rather evident even from the exterior that a Mitsu Rampage has the same "build" as a Dakota...I think Mitsu is coming out (or came out) with a full size, based off of the Ram.
You’d be amazed at the automotive partnerships (Mercedes transmissions in Dodge Sprinter vans, Mitsubishi engines in some Dodge’s, Dodge’s engines and vehicles rebranded as Mitsubishi (don’t forget the Galant or Eclipse -- a Charger rebadge)...It’s always a good idea to look at current valuation, your assets, and future valuation, and your determination to keep the vehicle.

Fords do not suck. Ford rangers though, do suck. So do S10’s and Sonomas. But if I had to pick one truck out of those it would be a ranger. Just make sure it’s got low mileage or it won’t be worth it at all. And always be willing to settle with a shitty cab/interior condition as long as the engine/drive train is in good shape.
