Hey RE. What’s been happening in my absence? It’s been a while... Yeah I know. I thought I’d jump on, take a look and post something.
So what’s happened with me since I’ve been gone?
1. OFF DRUGS! Been off them for quite sometime. Mary Jane no longer has a hold on me; neither does anything else. I find I’ve got more time to do the things I love, and since being off dope and so fourth, my life is finally getting back on track. Getting more gigs, getting decent stuff recorded, FOUND A DRUMMER! who has a professional recording studio set up, and a nice drum kit, and can actually play. Jamming with a whole lot more people, and collaborating on new projects. Hanging out with my girlfriend, and spending some sober, clear-headed time with her. Going to the Gym more often and weight-lifting a lot more. And just... Living life better.
Drugs were the bane of my existence. But hey, for anyone else out there, not going to hold you back, that’s your life journey. I felt as though they were starting to mind-fuck me and turn me into a nut. Luckily I pulled myself outta there before it was too late.
2. Got a new job at a guitar shop. I also teach blues/metal/rock/lead guitar at the same place, on a casual basis; as well as guitar tech. Pretty great place for a guitarist to work; which sure beats the mundane life at my previous job at the bottle-shop with no employee discount, and shit hours, I can tell you that!
3. Bought a new 7-String Les Paul, which I am now considering selling for a regular 6-String Les Paul, Custom, for sure. Thinking a regular custom, and putting some decent Dimarzio’s or even Zakk Wylde EMGs in it; OR; a Camo Zakk Wylde LP. Honestly? Not a big fan of playing 7-strings.
3. Re-discovered Rotteneggs (just now), is it any better, has it changed? Or is it still the same... Going down the shitter slowly bit by bit, with only a few great members remaining? C’mon fill me in. Lol
And, yeah, that’s that pretty much covered for now, as much as I can remember in the time frame of writing this anyway.

Hmmm DaDevil, I think I remember you...
and I don’t see how it’s possible that weed "ruin" your life. If you think weed is the cause of your problem then you made that happen not weed.

Thanks btw Po. Yeah sounds pretty interesting, one way trips usually are. Just like the time me and a mate flew over to Sydney just for the fuck of it, one way, kicked it there for the day, then attempted to deliberately blindly find our way back to Melbourne. That was pretty adventurous, done on a mere whim also, ages ago back in those....marijuana fueled days. One day were just sitting around a mix, and I said, "hey, lets go to Sydney just to find our way back". Just for the hell of it, didn’t tell anyone, just woke up next morning, booked cheap flight tickets, and yeah. Actually one of the many things I followed through completely back then too lol.
Anyway sounds good man, should have an... Interesting time I’d say, anything could happen.
Do you know anyone in Hobart? Or was it just a random, "Hey I reckon I’ll go to Hobart for an unknown amount of days for no reason just for the hell of it"....? Lol
Yeah I’ve been there before, got a few good friends. Gonna surprise them. Hope there’s room for me to stay hahaha. I’m cooking some barramundi and chips so bye forever.

...Back in the early days of smoking, it was great. No adverse effects. But the ;ast month before I quit (I quit like 3 months ago, so, this is going back 4 months now), I started to get some gradually worsening mind-fucking effects happening to me. Every time I smoked. I soon realized it was actually starting to... Fuck with me. Better to be safe than sorry IMO.
Plus it’s not just that. My life has been fucking awesome ever since I gave all drugs the kick!

Well, with my whiskey, I’m a big top-shelf fan. But I reckon my mainstay, so to speak, is Jack Daniels. Recently I’ve been branching off into other variants, such as Jameson (Irish), and Johnny Walker 12YO Black Label, as well as a few others, which I won’t bother listing as they simply don’t compare. The Johnny Black Label is fantastic in my opinion.
Last weekend my whiskey reserves were dried out, (bit of a drink with a few friends), so now I’ve got the option of going with the mainstay, JD, but lately I’ve had my eye on Dimple 12YO; this tasty looking drop, here:
I’ve heard some pretty good things from trusted sources, plus the bottle is very sexy. And if there’s something other than the full-bodied flavor of a top quality whiskey I enjoy; it’s the bottle it comes in. Apart from the $58.00 price tag on Dimple, I think that’ll be what I buy when my pay comes through on Monday.
As for Beer, favorites would have to be (in no order): Tooheys Extra Dry: Platinum (or Plats, as many including I, refer to them), Crownies, Corona, Pure Blonde, Becks, Barefoot Radler (Aussie fusion beer), Carlton Dry - both the regular, and Lime fusion. Can’t say I’m a big fan of the Lemon fusion Drys. I am a fan of my Dry beers though, a mate recently put me on to Hahn Super Dry, which is pretty good.
I had a crack at the new Coopers 62 Pilsner, and as sexy as the embossed bottle is, I can’t say I’m a huge fan, but it’s not that bad either.

Oh I see that you’re Aussie, wow Corona really is import. They need to make Corona with lime, I’d happly drink that with Jose Cuervo Black. What beer I like is Olde English 800, 40oz of course, Miller Chill, Bud Light, Corona. I’m not a big liquor drinker but I’ll go with UV Blue, Captain Morgan Tattoo, Southern Host and I drink it straight only no chasers.

Dimple was the last bottle of whiskey I ever drank,I can’t say I enjoyed it.
Also getting of weed was the best thing I ever done because on it I got nothing done, nothing at all

I’ve been off dope for about a month now, just ran out and supply has kinda ran out at the moment. When you’re off it you realise how much it dominated your life. I used to come home from work, get high, fall asleep, wake up, get higher, eat, go to sleep, and then get up and repeat the whole process. If I was out with friends I was always just looking forward to getting home and smoking a spliff. I never got anything done that I was supposed to in my home life. I wouldn’t say no if I was offered some, but I’m not too fussed about being without it now.
My grandad has an old bottle of Dimple that he’s been saving for years. I’m not a whisky fan though.
Good to see you again DD, and glad to hear things are going so well for you! Good on ya!

Hey man,
Nice job getting off the drugs.
I remember that I started to "help my music"
but, it never helped at all...so that’s when I decided to stop...
Nice job turning your life around.
Best wishes.
