sorry. I was cutting the tube with the powder in it and it set the powder off. I was lucky to walk out with all my fingers.

why were you cutting the tube with the powder in it? and i advise using good quality black powder instead of flash powder

Why the hell were you cutting a salute? Obviously you don’t know jack shit about fireworks at all. Don’t fuck with explosives unless you know how they work. Also, don’t ever try to get pyrotechnic materials from devices that are ready to be set off.
And Kenny, do you even know the difference between black powder and flash?

yeah flash powder can be set off by friction or shock, black powder on the other hand is alot more stable.

Only partially right. If black powder is made with too much sulphur, it can/will ignite very easily.

Also just to add, you don’t make salutes with black powder. You make them with flash powder because BP has too slow of a burn rate to really make any noise for a salute.

good quality black powder burns very fast, i use it in salutes all the time. do you even have any real experience with it?

HAHA Black powder doesn’t burn at nearly the rate that flash powder does... The best wouldn’t even BP be better than the worst flash.

try stump remover, willow ashes, sulphur, and coal...search around for the right ammounts of each
it’ll make BP that you can use *CAREFULLY*

Never handle cap powder or match-head and striker powder roughly. It’s VERY sensitive, and I have had it explode near me once. It was unconfined on a sheet of paper, and I squeezed a cap which ignited, and set off the pile of powder on the paper. I had tiny white blisters polka-dotting the side of my right hand which hurt like FUCK.
