Folks, I suggest we spend more time here conversing with Heroman.
Hopefully by spending more time with him (and other really good new members) we will inspire them to continue their growth in RE and advance onto the GD.
Further, I suggest we all "five" his profile (and the others also) to help them gain enough egg points so they may level up.

Lmao. I appreciate the support, my friend. I do also think that this is a good idea though, as it might increase the amount of new members that pass through here to stop and think - "Hey. This place is actually pretty cool".
I was actually fairly put off by the effort it takes to actually get into the GD, and although im willing to spend a few days on the sideline, the same cannot be said for others.

Hopefully others will post in here with you.
I know when I first started, I felt somewhat abandoned.
I had no idea what was going on and I could not communicate in the GD.
It does kind of make you not want to return.

I shall definitely try and post in here frequently, even when i am able to move into the GD. Hopefully it should keep some members interested. That said, im not sure how many new members come through here these days...

I see on the activity page several new people joining but after that, you never see them again.

Maybe we need to keep track of everyone who joins. Add them as a friend, rate them, and make them feel accepted here as soon as possible. Maybe then they would visit the forums.
Also, there is a LIMIT on how often i can post as a new member! WTF.

Yes, there are some safeguards in place, but you will find in time, that this is a "buggy" site.
At times, you can get away with some things.

Im really not sure to be honest. A red box appears stating that "You cannot make any more posts during this hour due to member level restrictions. Please upgrade your member level to overcome this problem" or something.
Im pretty sure its much shorter than that, but you get the idea.
