I never realized this until recently. This may not be the case in every B&D situation, but it has happened to me a few times now. (I am in fact pretty damned stupid, but I finally put two and two together and came up with a semi-theory. Hooray for me!)

MY THEORY: Allowing another person to dominate you in a controlled setting actually INCREASES that person’s affection and trust towards you over time. AND: If they will in turn allow you to dominate them (in a spirit of good sportsmanship) then that is conducive to-- yes I’m gonna say it-- romance. (Sorry for cursing, don’t ban me...)

I’m not talking about behavior that causes serious injuries, anoxic brain injury, or legal liability. But this does include stuff that a lot of people, both boys and girls, would say "no" to.

I know that most of the people on this site are not sexual adventurers (yet), so I’m not going to give examples of my own personal experiences in this forum.

But I’m wondering if anyone may have noticed this. My boyfriends that I feel the most affection towards right now are the ones that I’ve played some version of this game with. The one I have romantic feelings for will allow himself to be dominated-- i.e., he can take it as well as dish it out. In case you are curious, he doesn’t do this role-playing when we are at the convenience store or in the restaurant, and neither do I-- around civilians we are just two broadly-smiling people buying chips and soda.

(Guys who act "sensitive" and "caring" never get past the conversation stage with me.)

Ok, so that’s my adult topic for today. If anybody has any pertinent input, I would be glad to hear and discuss it with you.
