Buy sulfur in a garden store, it is pure enough to make BP with, and make your own charcoal. Strip the bark off of some willow trees, put them in a sealed paint can with a hole poked in the top, and put the can on a barbecue until smoke stops emitting from the hole in the top of the can. Immediatley cover the hole in the can to prevent the charcoal from catching fire, and let it cool. You now have high grade charcoal which is easily powdered.
