Hey i really want to know how to mak black powder can you all tell me your ideas?

ok... the mixture for black powder is as follows:
Potassium Nitrate 75 %
Charcoal Powder 15 %
Sulfur 10 %
ok so just mix whatever amount of the ingredeients your are using in htose proportions... throw it into a ball mill for a few hours to make the BP.... just make sure that you use lead grinding media... dont want any sparks in there.... if you dont have, or you want a ball mill go over to United Nuclear and order or make yourself one..... to buy: http://unitednuclear.com/mills.htm to make your own http://www.totse.com/en/bad_ideas/ka_fucking_boom/166068.html ..... there might be some better tuts out there but i’ll let you do your own research on that one.. as for me i just bought the 3 Lb. mill from UN.... anyways hope this helps...

Ok, potassium nitrate is what makes in the ’black powder’. Charcoal is what feeds the potassium nitrate, and the sulfur is what ignites it.
Potassium nitrate can not just set off on it’s own.
Sulfur and charcoal can be substituted (sp?)
Sulfur --> Match Heads, there is already sulfur in them, but all you need is 10 grams.. not too hard.
Charcoal --> Powdered Sugar. Does the same exact thing, it feeds the potassium nitrate.. but it does get a bit smokey, it also makes a nasty mess.
Using the match heads, powdered sugar, and potassium nitrate isn’t as good as the original mix of charcoal, sulfur, and KNO3... but it works none-the-less.
