(please only post chemical equivalents here, put supplyers in thier respective thread)
Al powder-Etch a Sketch’s. (Find at toy stores. You might have a hard time opening them up or so I hear. There are little metal balls inside surrounding the powder, so make sure you get rid of them before aquiring the powder)
Potassium Nitrate (KNO3)- Grants or Greenlight Stump Remover (find at most hardware stores, Greenlight at Home Depot, Grants at Lowes, where they sell the pesticides)
Hydrochloric Acid (HCL)-Muratic Acid (find at Lowes or most hardware stores)
27% Hydrogen Peroxide for use in High Explosvies-Baquacil Ultra shock and oxidize (find at swimming pool stores)
Acetone- comes as Acetone. (Find at any hardware store under the paint section. Used as paint thinner).
Methyl Ethyl Ketone- comes as Methyl Ethyl Ketone. (Find at any hardware store under the paint section. Used as paint thinner).
Ammonium Nitrate- This one is harder to come by now thanks to that heartless bastardo Timmy Mcveigh (Oklahoma City bombing), but you should be able to find some as fertlizer on {URL]www.everybodysgardencenter.com[/URL]. If the link does not work tell me. You can also get it eaiser and cheper inside Instant Cold Packs, all though I heard they banned them recently so it may be hard to get a hold of them, but I know certain sites still carry Instant Cold Packs. Just run a search and you should come up with plenty of matches. Be careful though as Ammonium Nitrate can and will absorb mostiure from the air rendering it useless!
Sulfur- You can find sulfur at most any hardware store. It is used as Dusting Sulfur. Personally, I have yet to find it, but this guy, http://www.freepgs.com/pyroteknix/sulfur.htm claims you can.
Hexamine- Hexamine can be found at camping stores. It is used in emergency stoves. As is true with most solid chemicals used in pyrotechnics, Hexamine must be ground down to a fine powder to be used.
