i can dig it, they had some great albums in the good ol’ days, but they lost the initial heavy thrash audience, making them more famous than slayer, who has stayed true to thrash, ushering in the sub-genre of extreme-thrash

Id say metallicas better, but slayers reign in blood album was so freakin awesome, and influenced some many other bands

Slayer’s best, but I really dig Metallica ballads.
I’m honestly undecided, but I’ll go with Slayer, because although they’re limited to one style (nothing wrong with that though), they’re damn good at it.

Oh, and althouygh in my opinion, Metallica was much better than Slayer in their prime, Metallica’s gone down the shitter.
No Life Til’ Leather, Kill ’Em All, Ride the Lightning, Master of Puppets, ...And Justice for All, and some of The Black Album were Metallica’s good days.
From then on, they sucked.
