medical technology became so great that it would be possible to keep anybody alive for any number of years, replacing body parts with mechanical parts and totally supporting their life, would it be expected to keep anyone alive forever? would there be wherehouses of people just being kept alive by machines?????

I get what your saying.I think that the government would set a rule on that.Like in japan,you can only have a certain amount of children.I think the government would limit it to the rich,people of fame,special abilities that will benifit the rest of the world.Our government knows as well as japan knows, in order for the world not to over populate there must be death.Then again if we cure diseases in the future such as cancer,aids,ect...the world will most likely over populate in a shorter period of time apposed to if we had diseases.
