Ok here is how to make potassium pechroclorate

Materials Needed
Funnel
Filter Paper
Glass Jar(s) Or Beaker(s)
Sparklers (lots)

Method

Ok, get your sparklers and crush them into a fine powder, pour boiling water on them, you will need a lot of it, now put the slush though your filter, keep the liquid and repeat the procese again with what was left in your filter and mix all the liquid together. Now you have 2 options,(I did the first \\\\\\\\’cause im not aloud to use stove :( ). First option, put leave the liquid for a 2 or so weeks, it should of evaporated sinificanly, get the liquid and put through a filter, you should see a whole lot of clear crystals, this my freind is pure potassium perclorate. Now the second option is to boil of the liquid, you should see a whole lot of cyrstals, this is perchlorate. Have fun and dont get hurt.

Not all sparklers contain Potassium Perchlorate.
Keep in mind that sparklers can contain different oxidisers like Potassium Nitrate and Barium Nitrate (even though they are very similar)
Quote:
A sparkler consists of several substances:
-An oxidizer
-A fuel
-Iron, steel, aluminum, or other metal powder
-A combustible binder
......
Oxidizers produce oxgen to burn the mixture. Oxidizers are usually nitrates, chlorates, or perchlorates
