First of all i don’t know if any one has posted info on this already and if they did then sorry.

Kmn04 is a strong oxidizer commercially used to purify water; filter out metals.
It is used in a few pyrotechnic compositions but not many. One thing it is used for is to ignite thermite.
This is done by pouring glycerine or other glycogens on to kmno4. The kmno4 reacts with the glycol and ignites by itself creating intense heat enough to ignite thermite.
U can also use it as a time delay for other volitiles.
One thing i want to make clear is that kmno4 will not react with gasoline and make a friction sensetive bomb thats just b/s.
This chemical is easily found at hardware stores like homedepot. It costs around $6 for quite a bit. Look for it in the plumbing and drain clearing sections.
