Im 1/2 way through reading a novel called The Wolfs Hour by the auther Robert R McCammon,,he writes a lot about werewolves.Anyway,in this book the hero is a British agent in France and Germany during WW2, He is also a werewolf. Its a good read.
But,,has anyone ever heard of any werewolf activity,or anything that could be attributed to werewolves.
Its rather an odd subject,,but I thought the site needed a kick in the guts to get it up and running again.
In Tasmania just recently there have been sightings of strange wolf or catlike beasts skulking through the undergrowth at night.

in ireland, we have dogs called irish wolf hounds. they’re the biggest dogs u’ll ever see. they look like werewolves, only they walk on 4 legs (obviously). Anyway, they are bigger than any other type of dog ive seen, and they have long grey fur, which makes them look even more like werewolves.

Just like with vampires, there are numerous ways in which a person can be a "werewolf".

Just to briefly recount my own experience:

Since childhood I have had dreams that were very realistic that involved me running through wild areas on all fours very fast, and on some kind of "mission". I have a dream like this about three or four times a year. In the dream at some point I will try to get up and walk on two legs but it always just seems easier to run on all fours.

The most recent one of these dreams (a couple of months ago) involved me finding myself in a familiar area where I’ve gone on motorcycle rides a bunch of times. I remember looking at my hands and they were like a dog’s feet. I tried to run upright but ended up on all fours again, running incredibly fast and covering a great distance in a short time.

I went into this little town where there was a real estate office. People saw me and acted afraid; they would just back up to whatever wall was nearby and watch me pass with fear on their faces! (Heh heh!) I went into the real estate office and there was this lady who owed me not money but some property-- a few costly items that she had said she would give me as part of a trade but then she ended up going back on that.

She was also afraid, and exclaimed in a loud voice: "How did you find me?!" (In the dream I did not start out looking for this lady, but that was what was at the end of the road.)

A couple of days later I called this person and though I didn’t get my property back she did agree to pay me for it.

Weird, huh?

Allriiiight..... . Older stories about werewolves say that you can become one by wearing the skin of a wolf and a special ointment, or by making a deal with the devil. There have been past reports of werewolves, such as the Beast of Gevaudan(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beast_of_G%C3%A9vaudan).
What do you think of these reports? Reliable, or tinged with superstition and fear?

i think superstition and fear have a lot to do with it.But Ive never even seen anything that makes me even slightly beleive in werewolves,,BUT,,I hope that such things exist, that would be exciting.

Hey PETER...there’s been quite a few sightings of those "beasts" also in VIC and NSW. A little while back, one was sighted, some where near the border and was published in the news - I doubt very much these "beasts" are any more than feral cats. Over many years, feral cats have adapted/evolved to their surroundings and believe me, I was out hunting in the bush with my uncle and we shot one and it was so friggin’ huge - it was almost the size of a smallish golden labrador.

I know this is going off topic a bit, but you wanna see weird stuff & wild life in Australia? Then head straight to the Blue Mountains - even better go on a camping trip there - you’re bound to find some trace or sight Yowie (Bigfoot) there. We were FWD’ing in the Blue Mountains and we heard this deafening *oh god I can’t describe it!* roar/howl/screech sound which echoed around the mountains and it was during the night at around 1am and there is no Australian animal recorded to have made even a slightly similar sound to the thing that we heard that night. And no, we were in FWD convoy and we were deep in the bush so it wasn’t any yahoo’s playing tricks - this was real and it was terrifying!!! god...it was so loud!
