Well, it’s hard for me to explain without giving some background first, so her I go...
A few days ago I almost died from and overdose of Coricidin Cold and Cough HBP pills. It was a dose I had experienced more times than I could count and while I wasn’t convinced it was entirely safe, I didn’t think it was capable of killing me. The doctors and nurses weren’t sure I would pull through. They couldn’t do much to slow my heart rate and it looked like heart failure was inevitable. I pulled through by some slim margin of chance.
Here’s my issue. Before I made the decision to go to the hospital, I spent several hours laying on the floor. I spent the time thinking about life, what would happen if I were to die, and if I was going to live. What I didn’t feel was sadness, remorse, or concern. I wasn’t worried that I might die, I didn’t regret making the decision to dose that day, I wasn’t disappointed with the cards I was dealt. To me this seems strange, I’m only 16, I have much left to do in life and yet I am completely unaffected by death. The only thing that led me to go to the hospital was the idea that it didn’t seem logical to lay there and die.
This isn’t the first time I’ve felt this way, I’ve had a few other near-death experiences... I felt this then too.
Is this a normal way for somebody like me to feel? To me it seems strange, I suppose it makes me stronger, but still...
Oh, and to clarify, I’m not suicidal. In fact I’m quite the opposite. I may not fear death, but I do oppose it, if that makes any sense.

It’s normal, because of your feelings for what you do. It’d be best to stop and get your life back on track.

you have to realise that when you die, there will be no more. no god, no afterlife. You get oneshot at life, dont fuck it up. Imagine it, we are just organisms created by mistake, We are not meant to be here, we have no "destiny". It’s very hard to grasp that when you die you wont be able to know because you will have nothing to think with. You wont feel it either.
You have one shot, everyone does. would you get pleasure for death? just think abou it.

I’m definitely not gonna be dosing with coricidin again, no worries there! :D
I would say it’s because of what I do. The other moments included when I fell 40 feet out of a tree, a car crash, and almost suffocating. The same thoughts ran through my mind then too.

When I imagine my death I feel this thing going thru my body that I cant explain becaause Im thinking of the unthinkable, of what happens after death. But I too, have had many near death expieriences.

That’s why I went to the hospital. I didn’t feel any of the emotions, that basic human instinct. It just didn’t make sense to die at that time.
Shit I meant to say I wouldn’t say it’s because of what I do.

I’m going thru life right now trying to grasp the idea of dieing and not coming back or thinking. It’s just me, i think I have issues.

Impending death is an odd feeling. It’s somehow familiar right away, yet like nothing you’ve ever felt. I know exactly what you mean by that body feeling, it’s very intense, but impossible to describe. It’s funny as I was typing that sentence I thought of a way to explain it but when I went back to type it, the words escaped me.
Go figure.

Who are you to say there’s no god? None of us can really fully come to understand existence, anybody who pretends to is either a fool or blinded by their ego. There’s so much about this world we don’t know, and so many things we can’t possibly comprehend.

This is not about weather god exists or not.
This is about your over dosing and not fearing death.
Well not fearing death is fine, it just means that your brave.
Im not surprised at all that your numb to it because now a day death is all around us. People are killing each other off in insane numbers, and over stupid shit too.
I’d say Seriously you need to stop the over dosing shit.
Its not gonna get you anywhere and you know what the outcome could be.
