Does anyone remember a band named Klaatu?? When they first hit, it was rumored that they were the Beatles doing an album under an assumed name. It of course WASN’T them, it was a band out of Canada and they’re quite good. Here’s a couple of links to their Websites, there are some sound clips on the Samples page of the first link. ENJOY!!

Here’s a pic of their FIRST album entitled "3:47 EST"
It is my personal favorite of theirs and has the song which was the cause of the rumor of their being the Beatles, it was called "Sub-Rosa Subway" It’s vocal arangement was wicked like the Beatles.
I used to have it on VINYL!!
P.S.!
Tell peanuts that they had a song called "Anus of Uranus" here’s a link to the lyrics,
just for laughs ---> http://www.lyricsplanet.com/index.php3?style=lyrics&id=50054

The Medveds are a band I came across on a 99 cent rack at the record store a few years ago. They’re a garage punk band.. and they are pretty damn funny.

lol.. I never knew that those bands fell under the category of punk. I didn’t get to see them live.. I just sorta discovered them one day. But yeah dude.. there is alot of good punk out there, I listen mostly to the older stuff because thats when it was all new and different. There’s this band Im sure you would dig that is like a pshychedelic punk band. I can’t remember the name of them right now but when I do I will let you know so you can check them out. They’re from like the later 60’s..

Nektar
Formed in Germany in 1969, Nektar was a quartet of Englishmen who met in Germany and, for a little while in the early to mid-’70s, seemed like they might take American rock by storm. It was mostly hype, and by 1975 their big moment had already passed, although they lingered on until the end of the decade
you can read the rest of thier bio here http://www.mp3.com/nektar/artists/15686/biography.html
you can also listen to some of thier music on there..or go to a different music site and loook them up...id call them Psychedelic/progressive rock/stoner music....a lot of there stuff sounds like earlier pink floyd to me
