OH YEAH!!
Lessee, there’s a WHOLE lotta stuff you could call blues!

Yeah, yeah, you already knew that.

SO I’ll just start with one of my personal favorite types of Blues.

Texas Blues!!

Ok, Where’s Texas Blues from?? Well yeah, Texas of course!! But believe it or not there’s quite the amount of Texas style Blues right here in New England and allot of that is based right here in little ole Rhode Island.

I personally have played in numerous Texas style Blues bands and though it’s a simplistic style of music, it certainly isn’t easy.

The music is usually based around the Electric Guitar, most likely a Fender Stratocaster through a Fender Super Reverb, but not always as some guitarists like the old vintage Gibson Les Pauls with the P90 pickups or ES335’s to get their “tone”. And there are MANY different Vintage amps that fit the bill.

You maybe have heard, or heard of Stevie Ray Vaughan?? THAT’s Texas Blues!!

You’ll note that allot of Texas Blues is Rockin’ music, lots of Rockin’ grooves, but still keepin’ it bluesy and “vintage” sounding

Another awesome Texas Blues band would be The Fabulous Thunderbirds, and just to make the point, over the years 1 Guitarist, 1 Drummer and 2 Bass Players have been from Rhode Island!! Their album “Butt Rockin’” is one of my Top 15 Favorite Albums! It has the Drummer from Rhode Island Fran Christina playing on it. And by the way, Jimmy Vaughn, the founder of The Fabulous Thunderbirds, is Stevie Ray Vaughan’s older brother!!

Another popular instrument in Texas Blues is the “Harp” , that’s a “Blues Harmonica” to you and me, but more often than not they’ll play it right through an old Fender Guitar Amplifier to get a dirty Guitar-esque kind of tone. A master at this type of Blues harp playing is The Fabulous Thunderbirds Lead Singer and Harp Player Kim Wilson, he’s one WICKED Baddass Harp player!!

I’ll post more on this from time to time,

Peace
Viper

Well what I got from it is to live life to the fullest and not stop doing the things you love, because your time can come at any moment.

I am never going to fly in them whirlly birds, I dont trust them. If I travel to Europe, fuck a flight across the ocean, Id take a boat......

I hear that, I’m not a big fan of flying, but the odds are WAY in your favor.

Do what you need to do in life, but try not to kill yourself doing it, or damage yourself too much in the process.
