Well, I’d like to pop the cherry on this thread...
I recently came across some old junior highschool laptops. They were given to my father in hope that he could make use of them. After months of hard work and loyalty to my father, He very generously gave me a laptop. He then said these words," Do anything you want with it, Anything at all... Try not to break it."
I was very greatfull for receiving my new laptop.
There seems to be some problems though. I am strickly bound by the Junior high’s security and can’t practically do anything! I cant download new software I can’t upgrade I cant do anything.
I do not have the administrative password or account name.
How would I simply reset the computer so that all it is, is a regular ole laptop?
Is it possible?

Yer, you could just format the entire computer.
Just a question tho... What is its Operating System?? (XP, 2000, etc)??
Try formating the C:/ Drive thru normal windows: (My Computer). Then highlight the C:/ Drive (HArd drive), then format it under the dropdown menu. If this is disabled, format it thru doss.

Get on a computer that you have access to, one that you can do anything on. Google brute force programs and shit, then once you find a good one save them to a floppy and run them in the laptop. I’m not going to tell you any good programs because you should be able to find them and research them your self, sorry.

Don’t just reformat unless you have an OS to replace it with. THINK Da Devil!!!
Go into SAFE MODE, and then you’ll have access to the REAL Admin account, then go into that account and delete all other accounts and make a new one for yourself.
This, of course will be if the Admin account isn’t password protected as well.
Don’t just delete the OS unless you can install a new one, XP Pro is pretty cool, so save it if you can.

If you can’t get in, do THIS:

And you’ll simply make another Admin account.
