Ok for those of you who think that white rice has no flavor, this will deff help.

Its one of my own family recipes for good rice, that will still go with anything you decide to put with it. (this is just to make it taste better)

WARNING:This is for people that know how to make rice the regular way in a pot on the stove. Ive never made rice in a rice cooker so i dont know how good it will come out if you use a rice cooker.
You need to have your timing down if you make rice in a pot.

First youll need:

1) White Jasmine rice: (the reason being, jasmine rice is the best type of rice on the market you can buy. Usually the rest of them taste like crap) so any kind of jasmine rice will do,, long grain is fine too.

A clove of Garlic.

And some small teaspoon of salt.

Instructions:

Measure out whatever you normally do for rice (i usually make about a cup, that will feed two to three people)

Remember for every cup of rice you’ll need two cups of water.

The chart would be:

One cup of rice, two cups of water.

Two cups of rice, four cups of water.
.............................................................
NOW, pour rice in pot.

NEXT, out out your garlic and peel a couple of cloves and put them in with the rice. (Dont use more then two MAYBE three)

Next, sprinkle that teaspoon of salt in.

Then add your water.

Cover and set on medium high on your burner.

In about 7 minutes the water will start to boil.

Youll want to turn the fire down just a little and let some steam out of the pot. Just lift the lid for a second and smell it.
.............................................................
Rice is a very tempermental food, so if your not checking it often it’ll burn pretty quick.
.............................................................

Keep letting the water boil, and turning the heat down little by little each time you check on it. Dont forget to let some steam out each time.

You will want to check it about every five minutes or so.
(or whenever you hear the water boiling and bubbling to the top)

It should be done when you see little dips in the rice.

Now if you think its done one way to check it is tip the pot side ways and if the rice sticks to the bottom and you see no water then its done.

Remove from heat and let it sit covered for 5 minutes just to make sure its done.
