I have attended bootcamp for 3 years, and might I note that it was my choice to go. While I was there they taught me how to survive in the wild with nothing but the cloths on my back, even though that is not always the case.
You are in a forest area, and you are there with friends.. but you have seemed to lost your way or don’t know where anyone else is. Well here’s what you do:
Stop!! Just stop god damnit! You’re lost enough, and moving any more will make the situation worse. Find a land mark or place in which you can call base. This is the place you will stay close to. Chances are your friends will realize you are missing and will make a lot of racket.. follow their voices.
If you know you’re not going to be found.. then take a huge deep breath and remain calm. Fear not only catches the attention of animals, but it makes it harder to think and you will become distracted.
Note: You can survive 3 days with no food nor water.
It may be a tad hard to find food and/or water while your a just thawing your feet.. So you need shelter first. Try to steer clear of caves... animals have been there longer than you have and they are probably arleady there. And besides... it may not be stable enough to live in.
Note: Animals aren’t your friends, yet.
Your best bet is a fallen or bent tree or something of such sort. Use boughs to create cover for rain and insulation. At the end of your bootleg tent you will create a small fire pit where you will start a fire and NEVER let it out. You will need it for breakfast, and dinner, and warmth. (Lunch might not be available or an option).
Use rocks to create this pit. It’s not that hard to find rocks in a forest or wooded area.
Acquire extra rocks, a lot of extra rocks. You are going to make a pit quadruple the size of your living pit. The second one you are making is a beacon, so your company or helicopters may find you.
Now for the wood. Get enough wood to start a fire and keep it going for an entire night. After that make 3-4 more piles about the same size! Fire burns quicker than you may or may not think. You will need supplies.
When you have finished creating shelter, your two pits, and have acquired all the wood you need... you MUST take a break. If you over work yourself, you will not have enough energy to search for food and die.

Take a 30 minute rest, it will give you time to think, and perhaps enough time for your company to find you.
If it isn’t dark and the sun hasn’t quite set yet, I suggest searching for water. Lake, stream, river, anything! Usually it is highly unrecommended to drink from any of them.. disease and animal feses are in there. But it’s water and it is probably a must. If you do not find water, then that probably means there are no animals in a mile radius.

This is the only time I would suggest packing up and moving. it’s unfortunate to have to go through the trouble and make shelter, but without water... you have 2 days to survive.

If that’s not the case, then congrats you not only found water.. you have a chance for food. If there is water... there are animals. They need to drink, and so do their young. So when it comes down to it and you must eat... Get a long stick (6-10 feet length), and sharpen it. Make 1 foot of it sharpened; like a wooden spear or so. You need the length so you can hide in a tree until an animal comes to get a drink.
Note:Wild Cats sometimes travel in packs, and bears have young that will try to protect their family. I suggest waiting for deer, or other smaller animals.
I suggest trying to set up a suitable trap for raccoons or rabits.

If you do not have a lighter or matches, you have a few other alternatives. If you own a watch, then you could break the glass and use the glass. If you have any beer bottles use that glass. Any glass could work. If it comes down to it, and you must... use the old fasion style; rubbing 2 sticks together.
If you do not have a knife, then get searching for a sharp rock! Because you will not last long without something sharp or a cutting utensil.
Any leather on you can be chewn for nutrients, as well as tobacco.

If you contain any beer or alcohol, then do NOT use that as a source of liquid. Alcohol makes you pee more, and that’s not quite so good when you need to maintain nutrients.
Here is my bootleg picture of how to use this beer properly.
It is drastic, but if you must survive... then it is suggested.
