The ducks won the cup. I watched all but the first two games cause I didn’t get that channel :( . I wasn’t that surprised though. They rolled the Wild(4-1), the Canucks(4-1) and did better than I expected against the Wings(4-2). The Niedermayer brothers finally got to play together in a stanley cup final. They’ve met like 3 other times while playing on different teams.
My sister’s boyfriend’s brother played with this one kid from the team, Ryan Carter. He’s number 52 I think. He got $800,000 to leave school early and play for them. What a lucky bastard.
As for the Conn Smythe trophy, I was thinking Andy Mcdonald (had 10 goals in playoffs, at least 5 were in the last series) or J-S Giguere, he often kept them in the game with his stellar play. Fucking awesome Niedermayer got it though, he’s my favorite defensemen ever haha.
What the hell was with alfreddson shooting the puck at S. Niedermayer when time was running out? I would have got on the ice and whooped his ass if I played with them, haha. I was thinking that he was pissed after Pronger elbowed that one kid, but I gotta see which one happened first.
Also, what do you guys think about Alfreddson’s goal that was debated for kicking it in? I think he kicked on purpose, his feet were turned sideways as he was going to the net, the puck got close and all of the sudden his foot jumps and then shazam it’s a goal. I think it was a kick.

I agree with you that he was trying to stop, but it looked like he was stopping before the puck even got close. That and only the kicking foot changed direction, is why I think he kicked it.
