ok well i have been thinking and i got an idea but i dunno how to egnite something properly and im not sure what to use as a fuse....butheres my idea

taking two bottle caps and filling on with match heads and them placing the second bottle cap over top of the first one and tapeing/hotgluing it shut and then making a hole and inserting the fuse...willl this work ???

your idea will most likely not work. (sorry) ive tried that idea with matchheads before, but all my firecrackers ive made has been with 1 packet of matches to about 5 sides of striker powder on the sides of matchboxes. i assume the stuff is some kind of oxidiser, but it makes the powder burn a heck of alot faster. and explodes like a cap if hit by a hammer

and you were wondering about fuses, i used to count on sparklers as fuses. and if you wrap tape around the sparkler (preferably paper with glue stick glue on it) will work under water.
