Here is a trick that might help you lift a wallet, it can be used on both pockets and purses...

Pinching is a type of move that opens the lip of a pocket or purse in order to allow your easy acess to the goodies. The mark won’t feel it because the wallet or purse is between you and them.

Pockets
Once you have fanned the pocket simply grip the fabric of the pocket and pinch it (this has to be a moderately loose pocket, a tight pocket the mark will feel the wallet move). This will cause the wallet to raise up, which means you can easly grab it and pull it.

Purses
The lip of a purse is similar to that of a pocket, only bigger. In some instances you can actually lift the wallet out by pinching the purse but other times this is only good to get the bag open. Once you do that you’ll probably need a partener because if you pinch the lip open it might be noticeable. The pinch opens the lip and then blocks the mark’s line of sight while the dip moves in and makes the lift.
