Has anyone here ever used drugs to mask pain?
I sure have, it works, for the time being.
However, later on in life, you forget how to cope with it, and you can’t handle it, so you turn to drugs whenever you feel it, I’d suggest not doing this.
I might sound like a fucking idiot, but I’m drunk, and discuss.

I have man. I popped to many vicodin because I was depressed, wasn’t trying to commit suicide but I didn’t care if it was to happen. Do you mean emotional or physical pain? Cause I have always taken ibuprofen and tylenol.

Not physical, emotional.
Shit happens, and no matter what the shit happens to be, I always turn to drugs for it...I feel like a goddamn idiot posting this on rotteneggs, haha, but I am fucking drunk and it seems like the only reason in my life I have ever done drugs is to escape my mind, when I should be doing them to expand it. I don’t know what I’m talking about, I guess I’m just talking to be heard

to be honest isn’t that why we do drugs cause we dont have perfect life’s. when my parents got devoiced when i was 13 i went off the rails and downed a 70cl of vodka,didnt care what happen to me.that was a differcult time in my life but im doin well now im in college,got a girlfriend and a job.

i used to have the perfect life studying and shit
but now i just do drugs when i feel i need to see the reality of life
ive realized you dont need to have good grades and study every moment you have to be successful in life
sooo i balence weed and school and i still get A’s and B’s
ohhh and once in a while ill try something new
only pyschedelic like salvia, shroooms, mesaculine, vico
nothing hard like coke, pcp, heroin
fuck that
ohhh and prolly the only reason i dont do them when im having a bad time in my life is because i rarely have bad moments

Fuck so- cal.
Too each their own, but all I see when I look around here is superficial bitches. Yes, there are some cool people, but the majority of southern californians think they’re better than everyone else, yuppie sons of bitches. No offense. I lived here most of my fuckin’ life, I mean.. I was born here, but moved alot.
I have done drugs to mask pain on many occassions. When it’s physical, I’ll take some vicodin, or some other pain killer, and smoke a bowl, take a nap.
But normally it’s not for pain, it’s just because I like the high. And I like to forget sometimes.
I used to do it as self-medicating because I refuse to be on psych meds, now I just feel like rockin’ the ganj is a way to relax, take the edge off my tired mind, escape into my inner world.
I do believe that I use alcohol as a drug though. I don’t want to end up like so many of my friends, shake like a leaf in the morning, cold sweats until they get their morning beer..
I drink alot of problems away, but it doesn’t really work. And I have other things to think about now days, so I have cut down quite a bit. I don’t know.
I do like aderol, but thats because it gets you spun withought that nastiness of meth. I haven’t done any of that since highschool though, haha.. not that it was all that long ago.
But yeah, I agree, I mainly do drugs to explore the depths of my subconscience. I have written and created some pretty amazing stuff while on hullucinagens, aswell as just pot. Good times though. I wouldn’t have it any other way.
I just want to stay away from the shit I know I would like too much.
