hey guys, me and this faggot at school are having an argument about barcodes at supermarkets etc.
he reckons that it is the barcodes that trip those beeper gate things and make the alarm go off.
my argument is that barcodes are just ink, how can barcodes trip the alarms?
i told him that magnetic tags etc. are what set the beepers off and he responded with ’then why does the beeper go off when you have something like a lollie pop on you, there isnt a magnetic tag on those are there?’
my question is, what sets the beepers off? and does something with no magnetic tag (chocolat bar or something) set them off?

well my theory is, for expensive things it has one of those little white security tags to trip the alarm. lolipops and such can be read due to merchandise sensors or something. Thats MY theory.
