I want to format my E: drive cos everytime i start my computer up it says
"Make sure that the disk is properly inserted or the network resource is available."
and i have to restart the computer up to 8 times until it finally works
so jsut wondering cos when you format you lsoe everything and i dont have a disk handy to copy everything onto and C: drive dosent have enough memory to stick everything E: drive on it. so can i just copy it, format it, then paste it all back in?
It’s a live file system so you need to make an image of it using something like Norton Ghost. At this point, the whole system is corrupt so making an image of a corrupted system would be pointless. You can slave the drive and copy off your music and pictures if you’re lucky.
