The error with profile updating has been resolved. Also, it will force you to provide an email address (so it will not accept blank as a login e-mail address)

weasel is working hard to try and fix the site. Sure, he has put in a few pointless features, and messed up a little, but things seem to be gradually restoring. Personally, I’d rather have the lag and all the glitches fixed than say, the intercom and Chat system. Don’t waste posts with noobish replies.
